Dr. Kayla Ewles, DC

Dr. Kayla Ewles is a chiropractor who takes a patient-centred and evidence-informed approach to care. She believes that treatment should be individualized to each person and that patients should feel comfortable asking questions so they can understand the “why” behind their care. Dr. Kayla’s treatment approach may include diversified chiropractic adjustments and mobilizations, soft tissue therapies such as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, pin and stretch, and ischemic compression, as well as rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle recommendations. She aims to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and comfortable throughout their care.

Dr. Kayla completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University, with minors in Biology and Psychology, before moving to Toronto to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Her interest in chiropractic was sparked by seeing the positive impact it had on the lives of people close to her, which led her to pursue a career helping others stay active and feel their best.

Originally from Whitby, Ontario, Dr. Kayla grew up playing competitive soccer and has always enjoyed an active lifestyle. Some of her favourite memories growing up were spent at the cottage with her family, where she developed a love for being outdoors and enjoying a slower pace of life. These values are what drew her to Kelowna, and she is excited to now call the Okanagan home.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kayla enjoys strength training at the gym, growing her collection of house plants, and trying new food and coffee spots. She also loves spending time outdoors and exploring everything the Okanagan has to offer. She believes that building a good relationship with her patients is an important part of care and is always happy to have a conversation, share a laugh, or hear about what’s going on in their lives.
